This generator produces Scotiabank CPA Standard 005 1464-byte credit files only. CAD and USD are supported — one currency per file. Debit files are not supported.

File creation number: use 0000 for test files; use a unique non-zero value for each production submission — Scotiabank rejects duplicate numbers.

Due date is per payment row in YYYY-MM-DD format. Must be within −30 / +60 days of the file creation date.

Cross-reference and sundry are generated automatically. Always verify generated files with Scotiabank before live submission.

Download the Excel template and fill in your customer number, originator details, return account, and credit payments.
Format institution, transit, account, and return account columns as Text to preserve leading zeros. Institution: 3 digits; transit: 5 digits; account: up to 12 characters.
Currency is set at the file level (META row). All payments must use the same currency — CAD or USD.
Due dates must be in YYYY-MM-DD format, entered per payment row. File creation number: use 0000 for test files; unique non-zero value for each production file.
Cross-reference and sundry are generated automatically — do not add them to your CSV.
Save as CSV (Comma delimited) — do not upload the .xlsx directly.
