Generate RBC CPA Standard 005 credit files for Canadian bank transfers. Supports CAD and USD. One currency per file.

All file generation runs entirely in your browser — no banking data is sent to any server.

This generator produces RBC CPA005 credit files only. Canada-only in v1.

Processing centre is a 5-digit code provided by RBC (e.g. 00320). If you do not know your processing centre code, ask your RBC business banking contact.

File creation date and all payment dates must be in YYYYMMDD format. They are automatically converted to Julian format in the output file.

Currency must be CAD or USD. One currency applies to the entire file.

Transaction code is hardcoded to 460. Record sequence numbers are auto-generated. You do not need to supply these values.

Always verify generated files with your RBC test process before live submission.

Before you upload

Download the Excel template or sample CSV below to see the expected column structure. The Excel template has all numeric columns pre-formatted as Text to preserve leading zeros.
The META row must be complete and valid. Client number must be exactly 10 digits.
File creation date and payment dates must use YYYYMMDD format (e.g. 20260330). They are converted to Julian format in the output file automatically.
Processing centre is a 5-digit code assigned by RBC (e.g. 00320). If you do not know your processing centre code, ask your RBC business banking contact.
Currency must be CAD or USD. One currency per file.
Each PAYMENT row represents one payment. Institution number is 3 digits; branch/transit is 5 digits. Format these columns as Text in Excel to preserve leading zeros (the Excel template does this automatically).
Account number: max 12 characters after removing spaces and hyphens. Enter significant digits only — do not zero-fill.
Transaction code is hardcoded to 460 — do not include it in the CSV.
You must upload a CSV file. If editing in Excel, Save as CSV (Comma delimited) before uploading.
